THE SUBMISSION • Each designer must submit 5 looks • These can either be sketches or digital renders. • All looks must be made by the designer / their seamstress (plagiarism will not be tolerated) • The looks can be menswear, womenswear or unisex festival fashion looks • Designers must provide a concise description of what their brand is about via the website in 200 words or less – this is your opportunity to compliment your submissions with context of who you are and what you represent as a brand • We encourage freedom of expression but please ensure genitalia are covered in your designs THE PRIZE The winner will receive a cash prize of R20 000.00 The winner will receive the opportunity to design the official 2026RTD merch The winner will be profiled across Rocking the Daisies platforms and given additional exposure with Rocking the Daisies media partner The winning collection will be featured in the official Rocking theDaisies aftermovie 1 week internship with the founder/creative director exposing you to the creative side of GALXBOY 1 week internship across relevant departments within the business exposing you to the business side of GALXBOY THE PROCESS • PHASE 1 * Designers must complete the online entry form on this page THE ONLINE SUBMISSION Submit a 5 look collection – sketches or photographs of looks that are already produced must be submitted via the website At least one of the five looks must speak to the Rocking the Daisies120 years in Bloom’ theme 31 July – Deadline for the 5 look collection to be submitted 4-8 August – A panel of judges will view the collections submitted and select the semi-finalists Once the top 20 semi-finalist designers are selected – the vote will go to the public PUBLIC VOTING 11-13 August – The public will vote via Rocking the Daisies Instagram account for their favourite 5 designers who they believe should showcase at Daisies 25 The public will be required to comment the name of their favourite designer You may only comment/vote once – multiple comments does not equate to multiple votes Designers that receive the most votes, will be combined with the judges votes to ultimately choose the final five designers who will showcase at the festival 22 August – Rocking the Daisies will announce the finalists to the media and on all social media channels • PHASE 2   11-13 August – The public will vote via Rocking the Daisies Instagram account for their favourite 5 designers who they believe should showcase at Daisies 25 The public will be required to comment the name of their favourite designer You may only comment/vote once – multiple comments does not equate to multiple votes Designers that receive the most votes, will be combined with the judges votes to ultimately choose the final five designers who will showcase at the festival 22 August – Rocking the Daisies will announce the finalists to the media and on all social media 2026 Entries Open 2026 Entries Close 2026 Voting: Top 20 2026 Top 5 Finalists 2-4 oct 2026 RTD Showcase TERMS & CONDITIONS. Terms & Conditions All submissions must be done via the Rocking the Daisies website – No email or social media submissions will be accepted. In your sketches, designers must clearly identify the preferred model size. Standard industry size for ladies is size 34. Designers must specify if collections require diversity in size range. By enrolling in the Rocking the Daisies Festival Fashion Talent Search, you guarantee the authorship of your project. Should you be found guilty of plagiarism, you will be automatically disqualified. Rocking the Daisies takes no responsibility for accusations of plagiarism coming from third parties. The applicants will retain the copyright of the enrolled festival fashion collection. Contestants must conduct themselves professionally throughout the competition, including adherence to event schedules, respectful behaviour towards judges and fellow contestants, and compliance with all competition rules. Rocking the Daisies (Steyn Entertainment) reserves the right to disqualify any contestant at any time if they do not respect the terms and conditions of the entry requirements. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the safety of all submissions, Steyn Entertainment cannot be held responsible for any damage/theft of garments or designs that may occur during transport, selections or during the showcase at Rocking the Daisies Festival. If selected as a Rocking the Daisies Festival Fashion Talent Search finalist, contestants are required to carry out all further arrangements (transport, etc.) and other obligations timeously. Finalist Rules & Conditions Finalists, based on their talent, their ability to follow the brief, are selected via public votes and a panel of industry-leading judges. In case of selection, the outfits will have to be made in total accordance with the sketches and technical details presented. Correct and accurate execution of outfits is essential, and if reckoned to vary greatly from the enrolled shapes and designs, the selected contestant will be disqualified. Once the top 5 finalists are chosen – those 5 designs must be produced by the designer and be ready for fittings in September 2025. Failure to produce all 5 completed looks in the allocated time will result in disqualification, in which the next runner-up will then take that slot in the top 5. Flights will not be provided for finalists. Should you not be based in Cape Town you will have to pay for your flights to the fitting and the show. Accommodation for the show will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. Steyn Entertainment will produce a fashion show at the festival where the top 5 finalists will showcase their work. Steyn Entertainment will provide models, hair and makeup for the show. Steyn Entertainment will provide each finalist with high resolution images from the show for designers to utilise as they wish.
