Rocking The Daisies, South Africa’s biggest music and lifestyle festival, has caused a wave of excitement among festival-goers with its recent social media announcement. The festival teased, “Prepare for a week of local headliner announcements guaranteed to bring all the heat straight to our backyard.”
Continuing the momentum from the announcement of Kamo Mphela as one of the featured local artists for the highly anticipated #JWxRTD 2023 festival, Rocking The Daisies adds Berlin-based singer-songwriter Alice Phoebe Lou and Focalistic to their already star-studded line-up which includes Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayra Starr alongside UK Grime and Hip-Hop artist Stormzy and British pop band, The Vamps.
Focalistic, lovingly referred to as the President Ya Straata, captivated audiences with his infectious pitori vibes during his debut performance on the Johnnie Walker Jungle Stage at Rocking The Daisies in 2022. This year, he returns, joined on stage by fellow Amapiano pioneers Pabi Cooper, Ch’cco, and MJ, all set to make their inaugural appearances at South Africa’s most renowned music festival as the full force of Foca’s Pretoria Super League hit our main stage.
Alice Phoebe Lou is South African born, Berlin-based artist known for her captivating voice and soul-stirring performances. Her unique blend of folk, blues, and indie rock has garnered her a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim. The 2023 edition of Rocking The Daisies is scheduled to take place from October 6th to October 8th, 2023, at Cloof Wine Estate in Darling, and on October 8th, at Supersport Park in Johannesburg.
