Hemporium is a South African hemp company, founded in 1996. We aim to educate people about hemp’s potential through the use of innovative products while creating an awareness of all that hemp has to offer. Our long term goal is to promote the cultivation and use of industrial hemp as a sustainable crop in South Africa.

It was only during the last century that cannabis hemp has been associated with its narcotic cousin marijuana and therefore banned in many countries. For 8000 years or more before that it was the world’s largest agricultural crop, producing the majority of our fibre, paper, fabric, lighting oil, medicines, as well as food oil and protein for both humans and animals.

Hemporium is the official green consultant to Rocking the Daisies and an integral part of the RTD brand. This partnership has seen Levi’s and Hemporium colaborate to bring you limited edition hemp festival t-shirts, a first for the jean giant.
